The Manager, Sales Analytics is responsible for the day-to-day tasks of operational sales analytical support for wholesale and DTC sales channels. This person will evaluate existing strategies; track key deliverables; provide analysis using distributor shipment, depletion, and inventory information; and recommend changes when appropriate. This individual will work closely with our Accounting, Finance and Marketing teams to determine appropriate and cost-effective solutions to maximize profitable win rates.

This individual will also manage, develop, and mentor the Senior Sales Analyst.

Core Responsibilities

Quantitative Duties

Supports budgeting and longer-term planning processes by providing revenue inputs, including drivers and assumptions for various channels and products.
Develops and maintains sales reporting, forecasting, demand planning and trend analysis as appropriate for regular monthly reporting and status updates.
Using internal and external sources, will create daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly sales, pricing, and sales evaluation reports and analyses for shipments and depletions.
Maintains and identify inaccuracies. Develop and update daily dashboards as requested.
Create ad hoc reports as needed.

Qualitative Duties

Communicates proactively—analyzes past and present sales trends and can make recommendations.
Distributes monthly sales reports from internal and external sources ensuring data integrity.
Gathers and tracks competitive pricing activity based on sales input.
Performs ad hoc analysis of daily business issues and provides sales support for the company.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in sales analytics and apply industry best practices to optimize our data analysis processes.

Must be at least 21 years old.
Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Economics or equivalent quantitative discipline preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant position.
Extensive experience in trend analysis and forecasting.
Experience with analyzing Nielsen Data.
Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
Strong project management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate insights and recommendations to a variety of audiences.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis.
Knowledge of the wine and spirits industry and sales processes is a plus.

Working Conditions

Regular working schedule to include weekdays. Some weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required during peak seasons or special events.
May require quarterly travel to San Luis Obispo or Paso Robles, CA.
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Sitting for long periods of time (8 hours per day).

Compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000/yr.
