The Manager of Accounting for Best Buy Health is a remote position that will be responsible for developing processes and policies for areas of growing complexity within Best Buy Health’s business, including contracting, billing operations, revenue recognition, and IT development. Developing strong processes is vital to the future growth of Best Buy Health and this role will be instrumental in partnering with the business to create a vision and effectuating change. The manager will provide leadership, vision and oversight to the team and will collaborate with cross-functional teams within One Finance, the Best Buy Health business, and broader Best Buy.

This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

What You’ll Do

Develop end-to-end processes related to the revenue cycle.
Provide leadership oversight and technical accounting guidance to the team, specifically in the areas of billing operations, revenue recognition, IT development, and project accounting.
Take a leading role in ongoing and new project work where you will provide accounting insights and explain financial impacts.
Partner with finance leaders in forecasting revenue and analyzing revenue trends and margins.
Lead initiatives around embedding analytics within our processes to contextualize financial results and ensure accuracy.
Staying current with business initiatives and ensuring accounting systems and processes are set up accurately to support.
Conduct technical accounting research and discuss accounting positions with finance and business partners.
Lead and develop a team of two direct reports.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Tax, Treasury capacity
1+ years of experience managing a direct report
Intermediate proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, or other financial tools
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related field
Strong understanding of GAAP and full cycle accounting with an ability to identify and implement process changes
Experience with successfully leading the accounting portion of high impact, cross functional projects within a business
Experience with system implementations or other technological changes that require an understanding of accounting impacts
CPA or other professional certifications that demonstrates continuous development in relevant subject areas
