Graphic Designer
This graphic-design position consults with staff to produces health and human services logos, brochures, posters, displays, certificates, newsletters, conference materials, social media posts, digital ads and other public-awareness products. The position also coordinates the printing of materials and creates accessible PDFs.

This position works from home – on average – four days a week and maintains a predictable work schedule. Urgent products may require night and weekend work.

Applicants selected for interviews will be required to provide a portfolio of work and complete Mac-based Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop tests.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Consults with staff to transform complex information into engaging material that communicates intended message.

2. Uses Mac-based Adobe InDesign to design multi-page materials; uses Adobe Illustrator to create vector art such as logos, posters and displays; uses Adobe Photoshop to create and edit raster images for web, video and social media graphics.

3. Works with editors to ensure materials are written and edited in accordance with The Associated Press Stylebook, Webster's New World College Dictionary and The Gregg Reference Manual.

4. Utilizes unit database to log and track assignments and use unit server to archive project files.

5. Works with vendors and staff to optimally print and distribute design products.

6. Creates accessible PDFs.
