Position Purpose:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse workflow and overseeing the driver fleet in regard to recruiting, safety and compliance, training and ensuring proper management of the department. Responsible for counseling all staff members: achieving corporate goals as established by the senior management team, and ensuring corporate profitability. Functions as a team member within the department or organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Train, develop and manage new/existing Operations personnel. Using company and locally developed training programs, work with associates in classroom and field settings to prepare and/or further develop them for a career in Operations. Responsible for tracking individual performance. Implement new training programs as needed. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. Also serves as associate advocate to enhance associate's career experience and quality of work life, as well as boosting retention rate for the Order Selector and Driver positions

Works with VP Operations, Human Resources to address the current and future workforce needs of the company.

Coordinate training and Onboarding process with Warehouse and Transportation departments to ensure associates are fully prepared for high performance for their respective positions.

Provides input into hiring and termination decisions based on performance during the training period.

Plan, schedule and facilitate PFG New Hire Training program

Perform and maintain written performance reviews of all trainees as prescribed in the PFS Best Practice Operations Training Manual

Conduct train-the-trainer workshops where applicable to enhance the bench strength for trainers.

Serve as an associate advocate during the scheduled check-in's to boost job satisfaction, engagement and productivity.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsBachelors

4-6 Years

Food Service operations or related area with supervisory experience.
