Kids Above All is seeking a Full-Time Grants and Research Manager. This is currently a hybrid position, located at our administrative office near Chicago-O’Hare.

Job Summary:The Grants and Research Manager will implement the grants management process, identify prospective funders for Kids Above All and its programs, and write proposals and reports on schedule. This position will also acknowledge grants received and manage recognition of funders, maintain Donor Snap and paper records and provide direction to Agency program evaluation projects and the compilation of statistics concerning Agency operations. Additionally, this position will provide background research on prospective corporate and individual donors.

Essential Functions

Conduct research to identify prospective foundation, corporate, civic organization and government funders
Conduct research on prospective individual donors
Assist VP of Operations in strategizing needs for grants for Kids Above All programs
Work closely with program, research, evaluation and finance staff to obtain data for proposals and reports
Maintain relationships with funder staff
Write and submit proposals and reports on time
Arrange site visits for due diligence and cultivation and acknowledge and manage recognition of grants received
Maintain and monitor proposal and report deadlines
Manage records in Donor Snap
Maintain computer files and prepare regular reports and analyses
Communicate with Kids Above All departments to assist in assessing their funding needs
Assist and participate in other resource development and agency events
Stay current in job competencies
Other duties as assigned to achieve the mission of the Department and the Agency

Q Ualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience required
Experience in a social service or non-for-profit setting preferred
Must be willing to be part of a team and able to work independently
Excellent writing and organizational skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and databases required
Experience with Donors Snap a plus
