Sr Field Training Manager

Purpose

The Senior Field Training Manager will design, develop, coordinate, and execute delivery of training content to support the store organization’s development at the regional, store management, and team member levels within our store organization. He/she will assist in creating a culture where team members feel supported in their continued growth and development. This person will be accountable to managing all program details, measuring results and feedback, and improving training processes. This individual will act as the store operations subject matter expert for the learning and development team. This position will report to the Senior Director, Customer Experience, Training, and Innovation.

Essential Functions

Design, coordinate and deliver training content for all field level positions and company initiatives. Serve as the point person on learning and development needs in partnership with field leaders, the L&D team, and corporate business partners.
Partner with VP of Stores and Regional Directors to support the development and talent readiness of our Regional Director and store manager leadership bench.
Create and facilitate learning solutions in either a physical classroom or virtual setting. Serve as a role model for excellent instructional facilitation and develop those capabilities in others through train-the-trainer workshops.
Measure the effectiveness of the programs created and improve as needed.
Assess learners’ needs, help design scalable learning solutions, ensure effective delivery of solutions, and continuously improve to address the talent needs of the business. Develop relationships with field leaders to collect feedback to continually improve training programs.
Act as a change agent and trusted business advisor on effective learning and development strategies to achieve business goals.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience in Learning and Development, preferred

Experience

Inkling experience a plus
3-5 years of Training and Development or 3 years of Store Manager leadership required for internal candidates
Project management skills including planning work, prioritizing, and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, environment while remaining agile, resourceful, and efficient under tight time constraints
Excellent ability to coach, provide clear behavioral feedback, and influence behaviors
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including collaborating with subject matter experts and key stakeholders. Ability to flex these skills to various audiences.
Strong presentation skills and facilitation
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment
Strong leader with a vision to create future training plans for future needs or opportunities.

Physical Requirements

Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, or similar device with or without assistive technology
Ability to perform sedentary work
Ability to travel by car, rail, or air

Travel Requirements

Travel required (1-2x per month)
