Lead Software Engineer, Back End (Remote) Location: US Remote, United States of America About Us: At Capital One, we have embarked on a mission to build a technology company that operates in a complex, highly regulated business. What You'll Do: - Lead technical initiatives and guide developers to create robust, cloud native, resilient, and highly scalable solutions in data management and security domains - Share your passion for staying up-to-date with tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring others in the engineering community - Promote a culture of engineering excellence and effective management, reusing and sharing solutions where possible - Collaborate with architects and product managers to deliver powerful cloud-based solutions for our customers Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree - At least 6 years of experience in software engineering - At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) - At least 1 year of experience with Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls - At least 1 year of experience with containerization technologies Preferred Qualifications: - Master's Degree - 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in GoLang, Java, Python, Lua, Nginx, Rust, or C++ - 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure - 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes - 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks - 2+ years of experience in Big Data, Data Security, Governance and Controls - 2+ years of experience in Agile practices - 2+ years of experience building Multi-cloud COTS products - 2+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience Salary: Remote (Regardless of Location): $167,400 - $191,000 for Lead Software Engineer Benefits: Capital One offers a comprehensive and inclusive set of health, financial, and other benefits to support your total well-being.
