About You

As the first dedicated product leadership hire in a rapidly growing startup, you'll have substantial opportunities to shape our product strategy. We’re looking for a versatile candidate, who possesses exceptional leadership skills while being equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to actively contribute to product development. Your strategic insights will be instrumental in steering our platform toward greater impact, in service of our long-term business strategy. As we continue our upward trajectory, you'll have the opportunity to continue building and leading a dynamic product team to support our continued growth.

Responsibilities

Internal and External Research / Discovery

Lead comprehensive market research, user interviews, and competitive analysis to identify customer pain points and opportunities.
Synthesize data and insights into actionable recommendations to guide product decisions.

Strategic Roadmap Definition

Define the long-term product vision and strategic roadmap that aligns with the company's mission and objectives.
Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and features based on business value and customer needs.

Problem and Feature Definition

Define clear problem statements based on user feedback and market insights.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to translate problems into actionable features and solutions.

High-Level User Experience & Flow

Create and iterate on high-level user experience and flow, ensuring a seamless and user-centric product journey.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.

Quality Management

Set and uphold high product quality standards, ensuring that the end products meet user expectations and business goals.
Establish testing processes and collaborate with QA teams to conduct rigorous quality checks.

Performance / Velocity Management

Monitor product development performance and velocity, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing processes for efficiency.
Implement strategies to improve team performance and deliverables.

Implementation Planning

Develop detailed implementation plans, defining feature scope, milestones, and release schedules.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure successful execution of product development plans.

Qualifications

Proven experience in product management with a track record of driving successful products from ideation to launch.
Strong background in conducting internal and external research to inform product strategy.
Demonstrated ability to define strategic roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on business value and user needs.
Experience in problem definition and translating insights into actionable features.
Proficiency in defining high-level user experiences and flows that align with user expectations.
Familiarity with quality management processes and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Ability to manage team performance, optimize processes, and ensure timely delivery.
Self-starter with a proactive mindset, able to lead and contribute as needed.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Preferred: Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
