Director, Digital Communications, Operations and Engagement

VP of Corporate Communications and Marketing.

Job Title/High Level Position Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting a compelling employee-focused and business-oriented digital communications strategy and roadmap that aligns with our corporate priorities with direct responsibility for primary internal communications tools as well as serve as a bridge to external communications, Marketing and social media efforts, that significantly advances the company’s goals, mission, values, culture and overall employee engagement. This role encompasses the coordination of multiple components centered around the strategy, governance, editorial planning and operations for communications targeting our primary audiences. This position reports to the VP of Corporate Communications and Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain governance processes; conduct meetings and manage intake of recommended deliverables; and ensure that key messages and timing align across all communications.
Work collaboratively with content creators and key stakeholders through the communication planning, calendar and editorial process to ensure all digital content is engaging, effective, accurate and timely.
Proactively work with team members to establish new ways of communicating digitally based on best practices.
Manage global social media platforms, policy and maintenance.
Curate user-generated content from areas across the business and establish and oversee management of the content pipeline to deliver timely and relevant information and experiences across core channels.
Establish and track high-level benchmarking KPIs aligning to our corporate priorities for published content, including internal and external channels.
Create and publish monthly analytics dashboards to determine effectiveness of communications, including trend analysis and forecasting.
Assist in drafting and editing communications on an as-needed basis based on needs of function.
Participate in special project and events, and perform other duties as assigned that support the VP of Corporate Communications & Marketing.
Manage all primary vendor relationships impacting DN’s digital communications.
Serve as the Internal Communications partner to our Social Media team to promote a targeted, purposeful social media presence, including LinkedIn Life pages, and inspire employee advocacy.
Provide support to public and customer-facing websites to make updates as needed on the content, design and flow of information, including the Careers site and others.
Manage our internal and external yearly holidays/celebrations calendar and integrate with our editorial planning.
Maintain and update communications templates, tools and processes to ensure consistency across the business.
Provide support related to budget planning and maintenance

Minimum Basic Qualifications

4-year college degree
10-15 years of professional communications and project management experience
Experience working in employee communications – from strategy to execution/writing – in a large global company
Strong project management and organizational skills with an aptitude for managing simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across a large organization
Maintain awareness of and proficiency in current digital communications & marketing trends and best practices
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, stakeholder management and diplomacy skills
Innovative approach to content, thinking beyond the written word to consider visual, audio, in-person and other possible channels
Experience working with various technologies (Unily, Sendinblue, Teams, etc) and understanding of development lifecycle, deployment, and release processes
Effective communication skills that include writing, editing, coaching, mentoring, motivating, and influencing
Adaptable to (and not frustrated by) ambiguous circumstances
Experience leading projects involving intranet / large-scaled migrations / communication to many stakeholders strongly preferred
