Qualifications
- 1-3 years design and engineering experience
- Tool design experience required
- Knowledge of machine shop practices
- Experience with Solidworks required
- Must be able to follow through on all tasks with limited supervision
- Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Complete mold designs assigned by the Manager
- Work with the Manager to guarantee products are as promised by considering during design the lead times, efficiency numbers, aesthetics, cost, etc
- Design pre-production tooling needed to manufacture prototypes when necessary
- This includes the use of rapid prototyping
- Delivery of accurate mold design drawings/files to the machine shop upon acceptance by the Engineering Manager
- Design of manufacturing aids when necessary
