Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers in accordance with US GAAP and/or other bases of accounting for a variety of clients, with focus on the real estate and investment industries
- Develop and/or improve accounting and reporting process for clients
- Identify, understand, and implement accounting and other reporting softwares for clients
- Develop relationships with clients, while becoming a main point of contact
- Advise clients on accounting and general business practices
- Preparation and review of payables associated with client operations
- Perform monthly reconciliations to bank statements and other relevant source documents
- Review expense classifications for reasonableness
- Reconcile and settle accounts between related client entities
- Work within a team to ensure client expectations are met
- Communicate exceptions to supervisors, managers, and department head as applicable
- Contribute to the growth of the department by participating in project work
