Qualifications

  • To facilitate this level of activity you must have excellent time management skills and a basic understanding of the business development role with previous sales experience being ideal
  • 2 years of cold calling or lead generation experience; will consider entry-level graduates with strong internship/related experience
  • Desire to advance career from business development to an Inside Sales role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the phone
  • High energy, self-motivated individual that can thrive in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing; or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • This is our core role on the Business Development Group (BDG) Team and as such will need to be highly responsive to all our inbound lead sources - and highly active creating outbound leads as well
  • Your goal is to have highly engaging conversations with potential clients to share the value of our Applied solutions and facilitate a future meeting with an Inside Sales Consultant to further their interest
  • Your investigation and research of each lead will promote deeper understanding of our prospects and their needs while also providing the context for each lead that you create to assist the sales teams in progressing their sales engagements
  • As a part of the BDG Team you will also engage and learn with your peers on a daily basis, and continually share best practices within the team to help achieve our goals
  • Business Development Representatives enjoy a base + bonus compensation structure
