Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency or equivalent experience
  • Commitment to growing within a dynamic and complex non-profit organization
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related discipline
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of design principles
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc), and other relevant tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts and ideas
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take constructive feedback to improve designs while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a high level of integrity in all interactions
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a positive and supportive organizational culture
  • Willingness to work irregular hours occasionally and travel (regionally) as needed

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with cross-functional teams on a wide range of materials such as program collateral, presentations, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials
  • Gather necessary information to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience to ensure designs align with agency branding and messaging
  • Translate strategic direction into high-quality design to create visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and layouts for both print and digital mediums
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of fundraising materials, including donation appeals, newsletters, and social media campaigns
  • Assist in the creation and editing of videos and multimedia content to support marketing and fundraising campaigns
  • Maintain suite of peripherals and share as needed with fundraising ambassadors
  • Ensure adherence to established brand guidelines
  • Asset Management
  • Maintain and grow an organized digital asset library, including logos, images, and design files, for easy access and retrieval
  • Maintain a communications resource library of how-to documents related to communications
  • Work directly with external vendors (printers, photographers, etc.)
  • to ensure high-quality production and delivery of materials
  • Stay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and software advancements to continuously improve design quality and efficiency
