Qualifications
- Cloud development, preferably AWS
- Containerisation (Docker and/or Kubernetes would be great)
- Strong fundamental knowledge of OO and Functional programming paradigms
- Empathy and the willingness to coach and mentor team members
Responsibilities
- In this role you will provide technical leadership while delivering quality solutions using solid engineering practices that yield high product value
- Plan, deliver and maintain products that delight our customers and stakeholders
- Build and maintain microservices to support our successful range of over 100 games
- Build internal tools for our Customer Service and Quality Control teams
- Work with stakeholders and product teams to design, build, test and release end-to-end solutions while giving consideration to development risks and ensuring delivery of viable and maintainable solutions
- Run design sessions with the team to discuss all the possible solutions to a define the problem or opportunity
- Robust coding practices include writing clean well structured code, automated tests, and managing source control
- Strive to improve the code base
- Deep understanding of why design and architectural decisions are made
- Ensuring product features are being delivered effectively as measured by lead time, deployment frequency, change failure percentage, mean time to resolution and number of bugs in production
