Qualifications

  • The IT Operations Manager is expected to be well organized, detail-oriented, understand Cloud-based and On-Premise Technology and Infrastructure, have current IT technology experience, ability to implement process improvements, work comfortably under pressure and deliver results
  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud-based systems
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Experience with IT security, including data protection, compliance, and risk management
  • Availability to work flexible hours, as needed, to support IT operations and projects
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field OR;
  • 6+ years of relevant professional industry or military experience AND;
  • Previous IT Infrastructure, IT Management, or IT Business Operations experience

Responsibilities

  • As the IT Operations Manager you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization's information technology infrastructure
  • This position requires an individual who can liaise with key functional teams such as Executive Leadership, end-users, and other stakeholders to discuss IT Infrastructure, plan for future initiatives, and manage IT resources
  • Oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software applications, planning for current and future initiatives
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for IT operations and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements and alignment to industry best practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software, including servers, network equipment, and software applications
  • Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements to ensure high-quality support and services are provided
  • Oversee timely procurement and management of assets
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the IT operations team
  • Ensure your client receives scheduled executive summaries and applicable detailed reports including overall account metrics defined and measured, analyzed, and resulting recommendations are delivered
  • Manage projects related to IT infrastructure and operations, including planning, coordination, and execution
  • Ensure that all IT systems are properly backed up, secured, available, and disaster recovery plans are in place
  • Manage and oversee help desk functions, processes, and personnel
  • Other duties as assigned
