Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science
- in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years experience
- Hardware device testing experience
- Android OS and application testing experience
- Ability to develop automated tests in python
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines to automate test deployment
- Familiarity with source control solutions such as git
- Are comfortable working cross-functionally across multiple projects
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Have humility, curiosity, and a passion for sharing knowledge
- Automating tests on Android based hardware devices
Responsibilities
- As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specializing in the quality automation team at Flock, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our Android-based hardware devices
- You will work closely with our development and QA teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites that run on Android hardware devices
- Your work will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software to our customers
- Collaborate with the development teams to ensure automation testing is a proper quality gate for our products
- This will entail making sure any automation requirements are highlighted early in the development cycle
- Execute automated test plans on a scheduled release cycle
- Report results to upper management
- Develop automated tests to test Android hardware, OS and application functionality, stability, performance
- Root cause analyzes any product defects found and reports them using our defect management solution, Jira
- Invent new ways of testing our product in a high paced environment
- Mentoring more junior members of the team
