Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or relevant field
  • 5-10 years' experience with electrical components and system design, preferably in automotive
  • Experience in electronic circuit design and verification
  • Advanced knowledge of CPUs
  • Experience in embedded software design and verification
  • Experience in microcontroller integration, preferably for automotive applications
  • Experience in overall vehicle control system development
  • Experience in wire harness and small electrical components design
  • Experience in PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of electromagnetic waves, sensors, image processing, and radio waves
  • Ability to design control systems and logic based on electrical engineering principles
  • Ability to verify test items of control systems and logic based on principles
  • Ability to create and execute countermeasure plans for technical challenges
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage/lead the design and development of electrical scope for projects
  • Manage the entire electrical system design
  • Complete electrical components and system design
  • Create detailed 2D drawings for project subassemblies and installations
  • Prepare engineering release documentation for parts
  • Participate as a contributing member of cross functional teams to develop quality products on schedule and within cost
  • Perform or manage analysis of market claims and determine countermeasures
  • Collaborate with domestic and overseas suppliers
  • Lead communication with company headquarters in Japan for electrical project scope
