Qualifications

  • Interpersonal aspect of leading with Emotional Intelligence (EQ), effective use of influence, working together constructively and creatively

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of proven experience in multi-channel retail product marketing or buying preferably in the veterinary, healthcare, or consumer retail industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience using inventory management software
  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine and the prescription drug landscape is an advantage
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Responsibilities

  • As the Product Marketing Manager, you will establish strategy and manage budgets to drive profitable growth in our product categories, including prescription Rx, food, and other healthcare supplies
  • You will use vision and creativity to impact the client experience for both hospitals and e-commerce channels
  • You will work across all facets of the business, including but not limited to medical excellence, operations, budgeting and forecasting, marketing, pricing, IT, supply chain, and inventory management, and you will make data-driven decisions to enhance the pet care experience for our clients
  • Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others
  • Develop strategies to maximize growth in key products within our veterinary hospitals and through online e-commerce and home delivery channels
  • Construct marketing, internal communications and merchandising plans that engage hospital team members and clients, resulting in greater retail conversion
  • Lead execution through partnerships with Medical Excellence, Operations, Digital Marketing, IT, and agency partners
  • You will be accountable for a multimillion-dollar, multi-category business with profit and loss responsibility
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product offerings, pricing, and stock management
  • Monitor key performance indicators and report on product performance
  • Continuously evaluate the market for new products and delivery opportunities
  • With Supply Chain and Operations, you will use consumer and marketplace trends to select, source, and introduce innovative, high-quality pet products aligning with our brand's mission
  • Through the partnership with Supply Chain and Pricing you will identify and negotiate margin enhancement strategies and tactics for client-consumed goods
  • Leverage key partnerships with suppliers and others to develop win-win strategies and maximize both category and brand-level growth
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align product offerings with client needs and preferences
