The Brand Design team owns the visual look and feel of all sales and marketing communications at Seismic. As the keepers of Seismic's brand and creative identity, we strive to consistently apply our brand guidelines across all mediums--internal and external--while pushing the envelope creatively to evolve the brand and stand out in the market. We are looking for an experienced Design Manager who will join the Brand Design team at Seismic and... report to the Manager of Design. This is a great opportunity for a multidisciplinary designer who wants a chance to help shape the visual and creative direction of a leading software company. You will not only grow your technical skills, but you'll work collaboratively with a team of designers on a wide spectrum of projects. You will be responsible for owning assigned projects from creative brief to production, with fast-paced deadlines that require strong time-management skills. What we're looking for You have a solid grasp of common design principles (grid, layouts, typography, color, whitespace, alignment, hierarchy) and an understanding of current design trends in the B2B industry You're driven and highly motivated to produce high-quality, creative work at an efficient pace, can adapt to quick changes, and pivot on the fly to different projects where needed Your impeccable time-management skills allow you to multi-task and juggle several projects at once without compromising quality or deadlines You are solution-focused and understand how to balance eye-catching design with what needs to be communicated to an audience or persona You are able to adhere to established brand guidelines while also finding new ways to stretch it to create unique designs for specialty events and campaigns You're open to learning new tools and skills and have the initiative to learn them on your own if needed You have a keen attention to detail and value pixel-perfect precision in your designs, but also see the bigger picture and won't be bogged down by those same details You welcome feedback from both designers and stakeholders to improve your work You're able to offer design suggestions or draft moodboards to support your ideas You can be both a team player and work independently without constant oversight You err on the side of over-communicating vs under and will maintain open lines of communication between yourself, your team, and your stakeholders when it comes to project and deadline statuses Responsibilities Be the champion of Seismic's brand identity by visually implementing it across all marketing and sales communications, including marketing campaigns, eBooks, infographics, whitepapers, one-pagers, event signage, digital ads, social media, print materials, microsites, and presentations Work with existing templates for collateral but also be open to evolving them or creating new ones if needed Collaborate with other designers and brand team leaders on large-scale projects and initiatives to meet quarterly OKRs Work with stakeholders in and outside of marketing to collaborate on content creation Proactively schedule meetings with stakeholders for project kick-offs and to review design drafts Stay up-to-date on emerging design trends, tools, and brand evolutions Participate in all cross-functional design and brand workshops Skills & Experience 5 years of graphic/visual design experience, in-house or agency (Preferably in B2B tech) A design portfolio (website or PDF) that showcases a refined aesthetic, command of design principles, and the ability to think conceptually Experience in designing for both digital and print mediums across various sizes Self-directed, but also great at collaborating across disciplines and teams, including giving and receiving thoughtful feedback on creative work. Proficiency in the Adobe CC trifecta (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Expertise with vector graphics and the ability to create new ones based on existing illustration styles, iconography or 3rd party resources Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, PowerPoint animations, and Google Slides Experience using online project management tools such BONUS: Experience in photography, digital art/illustration, or After Effects a plus. Salary Range: $80K -- $100K Minimum Qualification Design & UXEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
