Qualifications

  • Communication - Communication refers to the ability to inform orally and in writing, with clarity and good effect
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely fashion that are sound, accurate, and supported by the reasoning and inclusion of appropriate people
  • Performance Coaching - Refers to the ability to define responsibilities and expectations
  • Associate's Degree and 3 years of management experience; or
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the above
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and Electronic Data Interchange software Everest ERP
  • Other company or customer-specific software as required
  • Must be able to remain in a sitting position 90% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Summary: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Customer Service Representatives
  • Provide team members with the appropriate training, tools, direction, and motivation that enable their success
  • Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies, or arrange for training to be provided
  • Discuss job performance problems with employees in order to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems
  • Recruit, hire, and train new members of the customer service team
  • Receive orders via phone fax, mail, and electronic data interchange (EDI)
  • Edit orders received for price and discrepancy
  • Inform customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
  • Record or file copies of orders received
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates
  • Monitor shipping orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped
  • Receive and investigate customer complaints
  • Confer with production, shipping, warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or track missing or delayed shipments
  • Track the volume and production of department
  • Administer large and any difficult accounts that require special attention
  • Follow FTZ procedures- wear security badges, keep doors closed and locked, etc
  • Read and review customer's Vendor/Compliance Manual
  • Confer with IT regarding website and other system issues
  • Confer with Credit Department if customer's order is delayed due to a past-due account
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • It means understanding clearly and quickly when instructions or orders are received
