Responsibilities
- Serve as an executive leader at the organization
- Lead vision and execution of hiring and growth strategy
- Support the organization in implementing and iterating on OKR process
- Support the organization in iterating on remote work structures and systems
- Ensure transparent communication between executive team and staff members
- Support, develop, and lead a user-centric operations team
- Own the strategy, goal setting, and execution of mission-critical priorities
- Directly manage Finance & Administration Lead and Senior Talent Lead
- Serve as the primary legal point of contact for the organization
- Oversee the design and execution of two annual org-wide strategy retreats
- Support, develop, and lead a world-class finance and administration function
- Oversee aiEDU's finance and accounting function
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to nonprofit operations
- Work with Finance and Administration Lead to track and report on grant and service contracts
- Support, develop, and lead a world-class human resources function
- Serve as the primary human resources leader in the organization
- Cultivate a strong team culture and ensure a seamless employee experience

The AI Education Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to bring critical and fundamental knowledge about artificial intelligence to communities who are on the front lines of automation and economic disruption. Experts are calling AI ‘the new electricity,’ and a driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, yet the vast majority of schools in low income areas and communities of color lack an accessible AI curriculum. AIEDU developed a self-guided online ‘Introduction to AI’ course, backed by the learning sciences, with culturally-relevant pedagogy and game- and project-based learning, and we are now in the process of rolling it out to schools across America. So far our pilots have reached students from 10 high schools in Ohio and Florida, and we are preparing to scale this curriculum significantly in Fall 2020.
