Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or related discipline)
  • 1-8 years experience in corporate financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting
  • Ability to fully understand corporate finance areas, including revenue streams, expenses, cash flows and capital
  • Ability to interpret and analyze results from data extractions to identify patterns and trends, including financial results
  • Ability to identify user requirements and turn them into actionable information with accurate and understandable reports and applications
  • Ability to identify areas of process improvements and manage change implementation
  • Ability to extract and collect large data sets from and into various sources and formats
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Access, SQL Server)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with relational database development and administration
  • Familiar with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Ability to learn and integrate new systems as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workflow and meet deadlines
  • Thorough and attentive to details

Responsibilities

  • Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends
  • Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action
  • Identify or monitor current and potential customer trends, using business intelligence tools
  • Identify and analyze business line, company, and industry trends with business strategy implications
  • Design/Build/Implement/Support of internal applications and development efforts
  • Create Python packages for reporting and application development
  • Document processes and procedures within regulatory guidelines and best practices
  • Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs
  • Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods
  • Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
  • Provide analytical support through creation of reports and applications to further drive data driven decision making
  • Utilize, rebuild and improve current reporting infrastructure (MS Access, SQL, Business Objects, Excel, Python, Web Apps) to take advantage of new technology and efficiencies
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting and applications for various functional areas within the organization
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users
  • Other duties as assigned
