- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting experience with cost knowledge, and/or Controllership functions
Responsibilities
- This position will analyze operational cost performance indicators and ensure the completeness and reliability of the information produced and communicated
- As a result, this position will contribute to strategic decision-making in the DC and maintain an effective control structure to minimize the risk of errors, irregularities, and fraud related to processes
- Work closely with the Director to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Set up systems and processes for the costing function, this includes the full range of Cost Accounting activities
- Work closely with Supply Chain to provide them with support relating to cost-related matters
- Participate in the preparation of the annual plant operating budget
- Ensure quality control over financial reporting and KPIs
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, audits, and report variances
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Collaborate on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including contributing to the preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Gather, summarize, and analyze a significant amount of transactional data and make reasonable conclusions to facilitate key accounting and business decisions
- Ensure that inventory transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Continually drive improvement of a standard costing system to provide management with better information for decision-making
