Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in program management, project management and/or producing with product design organizations
  • Experience with platforms such as Asana, Smartsheet and Trello
  • Deep passion for building scaling design organizations and communities
  • Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects
  • Ability to provide succinct and accurate summaries of complicated situations
  • Highly developed drive to improve how things work
  • Ability to quickly understand technical product concepts
  • A healthy obsession for quality and detail
  • Extraordinary communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt, be self-directed and take initiative in problem solving on multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Connection to the creative process and knowledge of inner-workings of Product, Design and technical teams

Responsibilities

  • This person will be responsible for owning timelines and managing design phases throughout product development
  • They will organize and build milestone checklists to manage cross functional teams from product brief approval through product launch
  • In a fast paced environment, this role ensures we focus on the details, keep quality high, and move at an efficient pace
  • This role will work across Industrial Design, Product Development, Sourcing & Compliance, Finance, and Leadership
  • This role will report to the office 3 days per week
  • Partner closely with Industrial Design, Product Development, Sourcing & Compliance, Finance, and Leadership in making key project decisions, including: scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and approval processes
  • Effectively manage resources with work management platforms to drive clarity and transparency; track action items and plan work/next steps within active timelines
  • Help build framework with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality assets are delivered on time to the right teams from product brief to product launch
  • Take notes in all design meetings and share detailed reports
  • Identify design-led company needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, driving required changes to make sure the Product Development team is enabled to create world-class products
  • Proactively streamline processes in service of the creative process and making good decisions faster

Benefits

  • $80,000 - $120,000 a year
  • Thuma provides an estimate of the compensation for roles that may be hired as required by state regulations
