Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in design operations, emphasizing process optimization, workflow enhancement, and effective collaboration within design teams
  • Proven project management skills, overseeing design projects from inception to delivery
  • Expertise in developing and implementing efficient design processes and systems to ensure cohesive coordination across cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with design, UX, and design thinking methodologies
  • Resourceful in managing budgets, timelines, and project resources
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate and resolve challenges in a dynamic design environment
  • Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in design and design operations

Responsibilities

  • Plan and Execute: Develop detailed plans for each project role to ensure smooth progress, intervening proactively when issues arise
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Venture Design on client projects to address challenges and optimize project outcomes
  • Build and Manage Relationships: Organize stakeholders, establish vendor partnerships, facilitate research participant recruitment, and foster collaboration across a global, remote team
  • Work closely with the CEO on the development of ADG, supporting business development tasks such as proposal writing and hiring
  • Manage Team Operations: Create schedules, oversee the tooling/tech stack, plan on-sites, and ensure high-quality work from the project team
  • Maintain a clear understanding of project scope and timeline for on-time, high-quality deliverables
  • Actively participate in recruiting and hiring processes to strengthen ADG's team
  • Client Satisfaction Management: Lead scoping meetings, facilitate kickoffs, and conduct client check-ins to ensure project success
  • Strategically align client needs with the design team's work, contributing to overall client satisfaction within ADG's design program
  • Operational Excellence Leadership: Contribute to ADG's internal operations by building a foundation for project excellence
  • Research and procure tools, recruit talent, budget projects, and enhance ADG's design practice for increased repeatability, scalability, and effectiveness
  • Keep ADG's company systems up to date to support seamless operations
  • Advance Design at ADG: Utilize exposure to design, business strategy, operations, systems, and futures thinking to articulate ADG's cutting-edge and essential design approach in the 21st century
  • Work closely with the CEO to align design initiatives with the broader development and growth of ADG
  • No-Meeting Fridays: We avoid scheduling meetings on Friday
