Key Account Manager - Exciting Challenge

Qualifications
- 5+ years of outside or inside sales experience, preferably within the consumer products/gift & home industry
- Previous experience managing a multi-million dollar account base
- Ability to professionally overcome and handle objectives
- Proactively address issues and solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability
- Rock-solid time management
- Ability to work effectively as a team and independently
- Proficiency in using mainstream PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM solutions
Responsibilities
- Ideal candidate will have current strong relationships with national caliber retailers within industry channels, such as; grocery, hardware, floral/plant, department stores, furniture/home décor
- Manage and increase a multi-million-dollar account base
- Strategically drive sales to meet annual revenue and margin goals
- Develop strong customers relationships with existing customer base through daily phone and email interactions
- Travel to select accounts for in-person sales calls and service on a monthly basis
- Identify channel-specific new customers and proactively solicit business on a regular call schedule
- Develop extensive knowledge of client's product line and competitive advantage in the marketplace
- Create a positive customer experience for all customers and prospects
- Create quotes for customers and close the sale in a timely manner
- Generate incremental revenue through up selling and product recommendations
- Keep accurate customer communication records and update customers profiles on a regular basis
- Self-manage order flow and follow up on service requests
- Communicate product delivery information to customers – pricing, freight, ship dates, issues
- Effectively minimize returns
- Attend seasonal trade shows in Atlanta, Las Vegas and other industry conference shows as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
