Qualifications

  • You should have professional experience in SaaS-based software and possess the optimal blend of understanding how technology works and how to tell compelling stories around the impact it can have for our target audiences
  • You are capable of piecing together incomplete data to determine where a market is moving
  • You understand details and technologies, but you maintain a view of the bigger picture
  • You are adept at communicating (writing and presenting) complex material to a wide variety of audiences from executives to entry-level employees, engineers to sales, in terms and at a level best suited for each with no loss of context
  • BA/BS in business, marketing, statistics, computer science or a related discipline
  • years of experience in B2B software in roles such as sales engineering, product management, product marketing, and/or management consulting
  • Comfortable presenting to both internal audiences and customers
  • Understand your product 'surface areas' deeply and build strong relationships with your product manager counterparts Understand the Sales Engagement market and players Complete an audit of your product areas' existing assets (sales tools, collateral, differentiation guides, sales training, previous launch materials, etc.) Put together a prioritized plan to create and update product assets Partner with your Product Marketing counterparts on our quarterly launch rhythm to roll out new and enhanced capabilities to our internal and external audiences WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL:

Responsibilities

  • You will be a key member of our high-performing core product marketing team responsible for our GTM motion
  • This role will be responsible for shaping our messaging and positioning of core product areas of our Sales Engagement Platform and working with other parts of marketing to amplify our story out to the market and enable our sales team to effectively win against competitors and the status quo
  • This role will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Product Management to position Salesloft offerings in the Sales Engagement Platform (SEP) marketplace
  • Collaborate closely with our product and GTM teams to build and execute GTM strategies for existing and new product solutions
  • Partner with product management, other marketing functions, and sales enablement to execute and optimize our launch process to bring new and enhanced products to the market
  • Work closely with sales, sales enablement, and customer success to foster a strong technical understanding of our platform capabilities and how they differentiate Salesloft in the marketplace
  • Develop product positioning and value propositions aligned to our key target audiences
  • Drive customer engagement of the platform and understand and solve for inhibitors to adoption using data to uncover trends and insights
  • Serve as a voice of the customer to the rest of the product team and company
  • This includes gaining a deep understanding of--and driving--customer engagement with the product, throughout their lifecycle (pre-adoption, post-adoption/purchase, and after churning)
  • Execute training to educate internal teams on the go-to-market, positioning, messaging, differentiation etc
  • Work collaboratively on strategic initiatives with other Marketing disciplines including:
  • brand content and creative, partner and customer marketing, field and event marketing, and marketing programs
  • Contribute thought leadership content pushing the boundaries of best practices in the industry
  • Understand the competitive landscape, our differentiators, and activate strategies for achieving success throughout the organization
  • 1's with your manager, understand your 30-6-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your territory
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Meet key partners in product management, sales, customer success, and the other marketing departments
  • Be viewed as a subject matter expert on our market and your product 'surface areas' Regularly get pulled into sales cycles or sales conversations by our sales and CS team to help position our new and enhanced capabilities Have developed a systematic approach to looking at our offerings, where the market is going, and partnering with other functions - PM, Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success - to help prioritize future roadmap for your product 'surface areas'
