Responsibilities
- The Quality Engineer supports in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures to assure product and material quality
- The Quality Assurance Engineer assists with the coordination, compilation, and analysis of test and inspection reports, whilst working with colleagues across the business to support the ongoing development of a Zero Defect culture through training, coaching and analysis of continuous improvement opportunities
- Your day to day role will be a busy one with a diverse range of duties and responsibilities, including the following:
- Assist Quality Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems and procedures Develop and assist with measurement methodology and sampling Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality Provide quality support to functional processes needed from the point of order through delivery, including order entry, design, product development, purchasing, manufacturing, test, and ship
- Serve on the Material Review Board to identify and resolve product quality issues Work with Quality Manager to develop quality audit and improvement plans Develop and maintain ISO9001 QMS processes Assist in the resolution of customer complaints and requests
- Develop quality inspection plans to ensure customer purchase orders and contract requirements are met
- Audit documents (Bill of Materials, Routers, Work Instructions, etc) to ensure contractual compliance
- Implement quality tools and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, 5 WHY's, process flow, etc
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with a wide variety of customers including both internal and external to Flowserve
- Communicate effectively with associates at all levels, from the factory floor to executives at Flowserve and Customers
