Description Of Job The Office/Operations Manager for Parking & Transportation Services is responsible for the operations, supervision, and management of... the daily activities of the parking & transportation services provided to the Auraria Campus community, through active management and ongoing field engagement. Services include management of daily operations, including staff supervision and systems oversight; department PayMaster, collection of revenues; managing special event parking and request; administering the enforcement/ citation program; training of staff also maintaining and repairing parking equipment, vehicles and facilities. Position further oversees the daily operation of the campus accessible shuttle program while working with institution departments on registrations and policies of the program; dispatching, overseeing employee timesheets, uniforms, supply ordering and providing outstanding customer service to meet the needs of the diverse campus community. The Operations Manager Is Responsible For Supporting Day To Day Parking Field Activities Of The Department Including But Not Limited To: • Serving as the departments PayMaster, Office Manager to ensure supplies are ordered, P-Card Manager, Uniforms, oversee new employee hiring process, uniforms, liaison for Marketing, and vendor request including their requirements to perform jobs on campus. • Daily Field Operations: Actively oversees all field activities through on-going engagement with staff and operations. Promulgate and enforce parking rules and regulations, maintaining knowledge of all Parking Services operating systems. Oversee the enforcement/ citation program (including the LPR - License Plate Recognition program) reviewing citations for possible voids needed. Review and approve Red Tag and boot requests. Oversee special event parking and activities associated with campus events, and oversee the operation of the campus accessible shuttle program. Collect revenues at pay stations, attended huts and parking meters, according to established protocols and cash-handling procedures. Daily oversight of signage needing replaced, and any other repairs needed on Parking Structures or lots. • Resource Management: Provides supervision and oversight of employees, as assigned. This includes scheduling employees into shifts that adhere to the needs of the department, including staffing parking huts and Courtesy Kiosks; Providing support to the functions and staffing of the Count room and ATW Room; Overseeing full-time and student employees; Performing necessary discipline and annual reviews of direct reports; Reviewing employee applications and conducting interviews; Providing support with necessary hiring paperwork and securing authorized signatures for status changes, promotions or pay adjustments; Conducting employee training of new hires and ongoing training of personnel based off of citation error reports, including ensuring employee compliance utilizing the two-way radio; Ensure employee safety by consistent reviews of employee behaviors through training and observations. • Equipment Maintenance & Ops: Oversee all parking vehicles and system equipment, including customer pay stations, parking meters, vehicles, mobile and fixed LPR Cameras, handheld mobile devices, printers, equipment in vehicles, department signage, immobilization devices, and any other department issued equipment. Ops Managers must also ensure timely coordination of repairs, upgrades, modifications, etc. Interact with multiple outside and inside vendors and departments for various services as needed. • Customer Service: Communicate with AHEC customers (students, faculty, staff and visitors) regarding parking inquiries, including responding to customer complaints and issues; Perform consistent review of field operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. • Support & Communications: Provide support to Field Coordinators, Business Manager, Dispatch Manager and Field Equipment Technicians and coordinate daily shift change with other Managers in the department; Communicate with Auraria Campus Police, as required; Support and provide back up to Director and other Managers during their absence; Performs other tasks and administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Parking Services, such as uniforms, equipment ordering, billing and updates to department policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights • Three (3) years at a supervisor level. • Two (2) years experience with record-keeping and staff support. • Knowledge and experience with overseeing and directly supervising employees, oversight with demonstrated knowledge with employee discipline procedures, diversity and inclusion.
