Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a cosmetics category buyer, has worked with large retailers such as ULTA or CVS throughout the U.S., and is comfortable working in the e-commerce space
  • The ideal candidate is proficient in establishing and leading brand or class strategies to maximize sales margins, inventory, and space productivity
  • A successful candidate is a builder, creative, entrepreneurial, resilient, has strong strategic thinking skills, comfortable with ambiguity, and has deep experience leading through influence
  • Lead and negotiate quarterly/annual JBP with KA channel partners on key launches, space, location, and stock
  • Bachelor's Degree or above
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in key account management or BD management within the cosmetics industry
  • Extensive knowledge of customer/brand specifics of the US mass cosmetic market, including market insights, main players including top brands/retailers/distributors/wholesalers, import compliance procedures, etc
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to produce effective presentations and influence clients
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in a cross-cultural environment

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with local retailers to align priorities, strategize, and problem-solve
  • Drive the performance of key accounts to ensure that sales, distribution, and merchandising opportunities are maximized, and the year’s sales budget is achieved
  • Define and implement a Go-to-Market plan with cross-functional teams (marketing, delivery, logistics, local suppliers, etc.)
  • Collect and review forecast with KA partners and follow up on the delivery plan
  • Monitor and manage ST/SO Performance, offline display POSM management
  • Plan and handle specific sales events to enhance brand visibility and improve sales performance
  • Based on the local beauty market, establish and lead brand-acquisition strategies and operations, form brand-acquisition goals, and report results
  • Customize the KA brand cooperation plan from the perspective of win-win cooperation between the platform and brand, leading the cooperation and guiding merchants to obtain expected commercial results
