Description

As Dweck’s People Operations Manager you'll be responsible for managing the administration of our employee compensation and benefits programs and ensuring these programs align with the company's goals and competitive practices. You'll also be responsible for ensuring that company compensation and benefits programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

Benefits

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administer Dweck’s benefit programs; health, dental, vision, life, and ancillary benefits as well as Dweck’s 401k plan.
Work with Dweck’s broker and outside resources to research employee benefits in similar industries and recommend changes or updates to the company’s existing benefits or policies to create competitive, cost-effective benefits packages for the organization.
Provide analytics and reporting on benefits costs, analysis and benefits projections as needed for budgeting, forecasting and other financial modeling.
Perform audits of all insurance invoices to ensure proper billing relative to enrollment. Work with broker to ensure proper credits and debits as needed from the month reconciliation.
Lead the annual benefits open enrollment process, including partnering with vendors, developing employee communications, and set up and testing of the benefits enrollment system (Paylocity). Partner with broker in delivering open enrollment presentations.
Work with new hires to orient them to Dweck’s benefits programs and assist employees in making selections which best meet their needs.
Provide guidance to employees on benefit inquiries concerning plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Partner with payroll to ensure proper payroll deductions relative to benefits.
Monitor daily and weekly file feed integrations for discrepancies or rejections and resolve data discrepancies.
Oversee our 401k transition to a new record keeper. Experience in 401k conversion highly desired.
Assist with annual 401(k) testing and audit.
Lead data review for annual ACA 1095 validation and filing.
Facilitate employee benefits surveys to collect employee feedback on specific issues or topics related to benefits.
Manage all short- and long-term disability claims. Serve as a liaison between our disability carrier and the employee, and then to the business.
Manage all FMLA absences concurrent with disability, or any other qualifying event. Meticulously document all FMLA absences and communicate in a regular cadence to all employees utilizing FMLA.
Manage any life insurance claims as they arise.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit laws and regulations including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA and COBRA.

Wellness

Work with Cigna wellness support and allowance and develop wellness programming that aligns with their approved guidelines.
Manage associated expenses, and vendors.
Engage team members in wellness activities and promote an overall wellness mindset. Create contests, curate and award prizes and encourage overall wellness at work

Compensation

Participate in compensation surveys including the evaluation and determination of appropriate benchmark matches. Makes recommendations on salary surveys to purchase.
Annually benchmark positions to market using salary survey data.
Analyze compensation data and recommend salary and hourly wage increases, if and as appropriate.
Assist talent acquisition team with offer recommendations as needed.
Effectively communicate with management regarding the results of analyses and provides consultation regarding compensation best practices.
Assist with the annual merit increase process, managing the quantitative compensation process, maintaining spreadsheets and payroll data for approved increases for the new year.
Provide support in the development of compensation reports. Perform costing and modeling scenarios as requested.

Talent Acquisition

As needed, assist in the recruitment process to attract and secure talented individuals for our headquarters and business vertical teams.

Payroll

Review and approve biweekly payroll for accuracy and business intelligence.

Other

Participate in all team member cultural initiatives and recognition events. Serve as a proactive, engaged member of the People Service team.
Contribute ideas and support the ideas of others relative to improving Dweck’s employee experience.
Assist other team members or departments as needed.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

Minimum 5-7 years of benefits and compensation experience in a diverse workforce to include both salary and hourly wage earners.
Experience with open enrollment processes, annual insurance renewals and plan redesign and negotiations
Experience with 401k administration and compliance.
Payroll experience.
Experience managing benefits and compensation in coordination with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)-Paylocity experience highly desired
Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, federal, state and local regulations and best practices. Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ADA, ERISA and FMLA requirements.
Experience with recruitment practices and an understanding of the associated federal and state laws.
Advanced Excel and quantitative analysis skills
Wholehearted engagement and commitment to the Dweck Team Member Commitments and to Dweck’s outstanding culture and standards of operation.
Must have personal, reliable transportation to travel to our onsite locations from time to time (Northern VA & MD).
