JOB SUMMARY

In this position, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prospect, qualify, and establish new builder and contractor customers through cold-calling, networking, and other sales strategies.
Maintain relationships with current builder and contractor customers by regularly communicating with them, providing excellent customer service, and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
Collaborate with our internal teams, including operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure smooth customer onboarding and ongoing support.
Attend and represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities to establish new contacts and expand brand recognition.
Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing, including conducting product demos, and preparing proposals and quotes.
Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management and report on progress regularly.
Keep up to date with industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor information to continually improve sales strategies and tactics.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the building materials industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
