Rakuten Advertising is seeking a passionate VP, AI Strategy & Operations to be the go-to resource for internal and external clients in the emerging realm of AI. We are excited about harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence to improve internal operations, enhance the customer experience and build the foundation for future success for our teams and clients. This role will play a vital part in delivering AI solutions and products that will transform the business. You will work collaboratively with our data science, product, legal, IT Security, sales and client services teams to bring concepts from vision to reality with the power of AI.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the subject matter expert for the business to both internal and external clients regarding AI and its applications within RAD and in the greater industry
Create opportunities, document business cases, and make prioritized recommendations for AI or Automation-based solutions
Liaise with data science, analytics, legal, IT Security and product teams to ensure company alignment on key priorities, projects and strategy
Collaborate with the legal team to keep up to speed with relevant legal rulings globally and work with legal team to understand their impacts across the organization
Collaborate with Product teams to build AI enhanced solutions across the whole organization
Maintain knowledge of cutting-edge AI capabilities within digital advertising industry
Owning AI training for internal and external clients on best practices and trends
Key focus on AI ethics and how it impacts our clients and services

What we are looking for:

Highly communicative teammate who can explain highly complex problems to non-technical audiences
Strategic thinker who can analyze issues, prioritize business cases and execute across the organization
Skill in translating new AI technology and applications into valuable initiatives for the business
Ability to glean information from internal stakeholders and clients and work with product and data science teams to create suites of tools and services to address those needs
Skills to communicate effectively across the organization both to leadership team and larger employee base about AI initiatives, outcomes, and strategy

Requirements:

Ability to work in highly technical environments while putting a big thinking/strategy cap on
10+ years business experience with 2-3 years working with AI tools and technologies
5 years management experience leading high performing, accountable teams
5 years digital marketing experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Superb project management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical colleagues and clients
