Esssential Postion Functions

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate project updates, solicit feedback, and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to anticipate needs, address concerns, and drive consensus on project deliverables and timelines.

Agile Project Management And Technical Expertise

Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive project execution and delivery.
Collaborate closely with development teams, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to prioritize and manage project backlog.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to ensure that project goals and deliverables are met within the established timelines and budget.
Demonstrate significant experience in managing and leading projects, with a focus on driving technical excellence and innovation.
Lead the design and implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
Utilize high emotional intelligence (EQ) and collaboration skills to foster a culture of excellence.

Solution Design And Documentation

Evaluate business proposals and assess their alignment with organizational goals and priorities, leveraging your technical expertise to provide valuable insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and assess operational impact, prioritizing projects based on strategic importance and potential business value.
Assess the operational impact of proposed solutions and ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with architects and developers to design IT solutions that align with business requirements and IT standards.
Create documentation such as system design documents, data flow diagrams, and process maps to communicate solution designs and specifications.
Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to security and compliance standards.

Testing And Quality Assurance

Develop test plans and test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
Execute tests to validate that IT solutions meet the specified requirements and are free from defects.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet their expectations and needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

IT Business Analyst III

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: business administration, computer science, management information systems, project management, programming, or a related field

Experience: One year of full-time experience working in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field

Extensive experience in managing and leading projects, with a focus on technical excellence and innovation.

Experience working in business analysis or systems analysis, ideally in an agile setting

Proficiency in a variety of programming languages and technologies, including but not limited to SQL, Python, and PostgreSQL.

Experience in absorbing complex technical and conceptual information, identifying key issues and details, and presenting understandable alternatives, both orally and in writing, to individuals of varying technical expertise at all levels of the organization

Experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business/user requirements, system requirements, procedures, and process design to improve existing systems and processes

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, business analysis techniques, leadership methods, coordination of people and resources

Knowledge and understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to the organization's business domain

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the principles, practices, and techniques of software development and the full software development life cycle (SDLC)

Skill in conflict resolution, negotiation, and facilitating communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams, with the ability to resolve conflicts and reach mutually beneficial agreements with stakeholders

Skill in business analysis methodologies; in analyzing and evaluating complex information technology programs, policies, and issues; and in developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues

Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines

Skill in effective oral and written communication, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa

Skill in problem-solving, critical thinking, and analyzing problems from multiple perspectives and propose creative solutions.

Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including regulations, policies, and automation system documentation/specifications;

Ability to think strategically and align IT solutions with the organization’s long-term business goals, analyze complex data sets, extract insights, and make data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes

Ability to be flexible and adaptable to navigate changing priorities, requirements, and project dynamics in a fast-paced environment

Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback

Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel

Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA

IT Business Analyst IV – All of the above qualifications, PLUS:

Experience: One additional year of full-time experience working in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field.

IT Business Analyst V – All of the above qualifications, PLUS:

Experience: One additional year of full-time experience working in business administration, computer science, management information systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Scrum Master or in Agile project management practices is highly desirable

Experience with applying ITIL principles to develop and release services. Certifications in ITIL are valued but not required.

Experience participating on Agile projects and Scrum teams. Certifications in Agile are valued but not required.
