SQ Account Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Sales

Classification: Exempt

SUMMARY

The SQ Account Manager will be responsible to expand the company’s Healthcare Waste and Compliance services by selling Regulated Medical Waste, document shredding, and CORE programs, by actively pursuing and obtaining new business within a defined sales territory. The focus will be on developing lasting business relationships with a variety of prospects in the regulated medical waste field.

Pay Range: 50-55k base plus commissions

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement marketing and sales plan to identify, pursue and earn business from targeted customers within a defined territory based off regional business opportunities
Actively pursue new business opportunities with generators of biohazardous, pharmaceutical and hazardous waste, as well as confidential document destruction and special waste; this includes selling the platform and applications of Birds Eye Technologies and OSHA Training
Must manage daily activities to achieve set sales goals and metrics
Provide proposals and options that differentiate our services from our competition and that add value to our service offerings; efficiently follow up on proposals and leads and convert them into new business
Schedule and follow up with customer visits/meetings in an organized manner to achieve maximum results based off weekly and monthly goals
Researching information to provide solutions and responses to customer’s requests, coordinating customer’s waste pickup service needs
Internal contact with multiple departments (Vice President of Sales, Business Development Managers, Hazardous Waste team, Mailback team, Operations, and Customer Service support functions) on a regular basis; pro-actively interfaces with area peers to achieve business goals
Will work closely with operations to come up with sales strategies and target areas for their respective service regions and promote route density
External contact with all levels of customer management and staff on a continual basis
Learn and drive profitable new business utilizing analysis techniques, and gross margin tools provided
Keep track of all activity and documents in CRM
Meet set sales goals and activity metrics
Assist with the collection of overdue amounts from customers with outstanding balances
Performs other related duties as required or requested
Travel in respective, defined territory for in-person meetings and cold-calling

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, a science, or environmental discipline, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance/experience managing customer compliance programs preferred
Three to five years of direct sales experience, demonstrating the ability to manage internal and external customer relationships
Demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of basic P&L, revenue, assets, budgets number of accounts, etc.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
Additional hours as job duties demand

TRAVEL-OTHER

Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
Must have a current, valid driver's license
Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
