We are looking for a Business Development Representative and play a crucial role in the growth and success of a company by generating leads and creating opportunities for the sales team

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and GTM leadership to research, prepare, and execute pipeline and lead generation activities
Perform outbound pipeline generation, lead follow up, and appointment setting for account executives
Conduct diligent and thoughtful research on prospective targets based on Upwind’s ideal customer profile, product offerings, differentiation, and market trends to produce highly tailored prospect lists for sales campaigns
Be surgical in your research and seek to understand prospects’ business strategies, technology initiatives, and specific goals that best align Upwind’s value proposition with customer specific pain points
Execute a data-driven approach leveraging technology and new approaches to creatively engage prospects with tailored and relevant value propositions
Partner closely with account executives to align on messaging, strategy, and focus
Leverage all channels available to increase awareness and pipeline velocity, including attending trade shows / conferences, lead follow up for Demand Generation activities, and responding to inbound inquiries

Requirements

A strong desire to grow your career in sales

Track record of achieving and sustaining excellence in competitive endeavors (e.g. sales quotas, sports, education, military service, etc.)
The ability to work with cross-functional teams including marketing and sales is essential
Achieve and maintain a high-level of productivity, as measured and defined by sales leadership

Nice to have:

1-2 years of previous experience as SDR/BDR/Sales experience with focus on outbound prospecting
Familiarity with Cloud Services, Application Development Lifecycle, Cloud Security
Four year college/university degree - Bachelor’s or equivalent practical experience
