TheAssociation for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine(ADLM), a DC-based dynamic, growing international scientific/medical society of clinical laboratory professionals, physicians, and research scientists focused on clinical chemistry and related disciplines, is seeking aManager, Graphic Design.

TheManager, Graphic Designis responsible for implementing theADLMbrand in print and digital materials and communications to conveyADLMmessages with high visual impact. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications & PR, the Manager, Graphic Design works with allADLMdepartments towards implementing project design requirements on projects funneled through the Communications/PR and Marketing departments.

The Manager, Graphic Design:

EnsuresADLM’s brand guidelines are consistently applied across all association materials.
Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to ensure completion ofADLMpromotional materials.
Creates and edits videos to clearly conveyADLMbrand and campaign messaging.
Designs direct marketing materials for print and online promotion ofADLMproducts and services.
Designs corporate brochures and other pieces to supportADLM’s business development initiatives.
Manages in-house photo library to categorize and track photo usage.
Develops membership program collateral for print and digital applications.
Designs journals covers and collateral materials
Designs support materials as needed for advocacy initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from accredited college or university program in fine arts or graphic design. We will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
5 years work experience in graphic design
Strong understanding of video, graphic design, and layout skills using a variety of software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite.
Prior experience in a non-profit environment and a knowledge of, or interest in, science and/or medicine is preferred.
Must have prior experience managing multiple, simultaneous complex projects and meeting strict deadlines.
Requires extensive familiarity with video, graphic design and desktop publishing software. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Audition, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and preferred.
Ability to work with staff and vendors to design and implement graphics in support of program objectives.

ADLMcurrently is working a hybrid office schedule with staff coming into the office one day a week with the ability to work remotely from home up to four days a week.
