Litehouse is seeking a strategic Sr. Accountant to join our team! This is a 100% remote position. Candidates must be based in the U.S.

The Sr. Accountant performs general accounting and financial reporting for the organization and provides project based financial analysis and support. Responsible for a multitude of accounting activities, included but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, the month end close process and audit preparation. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities by collecting and analyzing account information. Interacts with other departments to understand their transactions. Supports various audit activities (external and internal). Ensures that all deliverables comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Contributes to other department and organization special projects as assigned.

What You Will Do

Participate in monthly accounting close process including journal entries and financial reporting.
Maintain account reconciliations and supporting schedules for audit and management review.
Analyze sales reports, marketing and administrative spending and review for accuracy and proper accounting.
Maintain fixed asset accounting process.
Design and maintain financial reports and other ad hoc reports requested. Other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Proactively identify solutions to streamline processes and procedures within the organization.
Support business processes by partnering with cross-functional departments- FP&A, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Marketing & Sales
Continuously update and document internal controls and procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline required or equivalent of experience and education
7+ years of related accounting, finance, or financial statement audit professional experience and/or training, with increasing levels of responsibility.
7-9 years' experience managing annual budgets, projects, and other administrative tasks for C-level leadership as well as applying and understanding basic accounting terminology and methodology, and knowledge AR-related function
4+ years' experience as an A/P or A/R, Collections, or Billing or closely related role using spreadsheets, database, preparing financial graphs, charts, reports and other applications.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Excellent working knowledge of the ERP/GL system and reporting software
Ability to comprehend and apply knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and evaluation
Ability to apply strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills to manage priorities and workflow while being versatile and flexible with a willingness to work constantly changing priorities
Must be a highly structured, disciplined, organized, analytical and motivated individual with keen sense of attention to detail.
