A Day in the Life

Join one of the most exciting and dynamic teams at Medtronic as aGlobal Product Managerin our Diabetes group. This role is responsible for global go-to-market planning and commercialization of our next-generation insulin pumps and integrated continuous glucose monitoring portfolio in the global marketplace. You will lead the optimization of regional product mix and oversee product lifecycle management. You will also manage ongoing commercial success of the products globally across different disciplines such messaging, product knowledge/support, and forecasting by working closely with cross functional and regional marketing teams.

Key responsibilities include provide commercial leadership for product pipeline, strong collaboration support with regional marketing leads and strategic commercial planning for individual products and programs.

A Day in The Life

You will manage commercialization activities of insulin pumps and integrated continuous glucose monitoring globally to ensure commercial success and growth with our physician and patient customers.
You will lead the execution of the go to market plan for software and hardware updates, product mix refresh and align on the product lifecycle management of products from markets to optimize portfolio.
You will lead projects with cross-functional teams to enable product updates and obsolescence in global markets.
You will build and maintain successful partnerships with regional marketing teams to ensure executional success and appropriate regionalization of global commercial strategy.
Minimum domestic and international travel requirements 20%.

Cross-Functional Team Participation & Leadership

Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize future product strategy around given business needs, market needs, customer needs and technical capabilities
Work with other marketing partners to understand unique customer & business needs and ensure product requirements are aligned with global products and strategies
Clearly and effectively communicate portfolio changes and corresponding target dates to all region commercial teams within a timely manner, ensuring the strategy is clearly understood and executed
Work with region commercial teams to assess market barriers and contractual obligations which pose a risk the introduction or removal of planned products lines and develop mitigation strategies to overcome them
Provide ongoing guidance and market insight to our operation and demand planning teams to drive accurate demand forecasting for product launches and support the phase outs with the goal of delivering adequate supply of new products whilst minimizing inventory wastage of legacy products.
Lead core teams and partner with key Global, Regional and Country stakeholders from across the matrix to delivering launch excellence for go-to-market planning and commercialization

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience including product management or commercialization experience or Master’s Degree with 2+ years.

Nice to Have

Thorough understanding of executional aspects of marketing: advertising and promotion program management, product positioning, lifecycle management and/or pricing
Working understanding of financial documents- Income statements, expense budgeting, financial decision-making methods
Working knowledge of manufacturing process, planning and logistics
Understanding of Diabetes
Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
Has led the phase out of products with the Medical or Pharma Industry
Project management skills: Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and execute projects with Very strong analytical skills, methodical and keen attention to detail
Works well under pressure in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to learn technical products quickly
Strong negotiation and influence management skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence across the matrix with global, regional and country partners
Basic understanding of a Profit & Loss statement and how your role can influence it
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$101,600.00 - $152,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
