Full time Attorney Litigation Of Counsel - New York, NY

AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. Candidate will possess superior research, analytical, and writing skills, with a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology). Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus. The Litigation Of Counsel will be responsible for providing high-quality legal representation, engaging in effective communication with clients and colleagues, and managing various tasks within the litigation process.

Education Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD)
Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions
Advanced degrees preferred, including MD, MPH, PharmD, or a degree in Epidemiology

Bar Admission

Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where you are applying
Candidates licensed to practice law in New York are particularly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Direct communication with clients to provide legal counsel and updates
Supervision and mentoring of associate attorneys
Collaboration with expert witnesses
Assistance with fact development and conducting depositions
Reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
Contributing to the development of case strategy

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably within an AmLaw 100 firm
Expertise in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation
Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is a strong plus

Pay Transparency

In compliance with Pay Transparency Laws in California, New York, Washington DC, and Washington, the pay range for this position is $400,000-$550,000 annually. The final compensation package will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, educational background, professional experience, and overall qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan, is also offered.
