The Role

As part of a US Finance team, theAccounting Generalistrole will have the opportunity to really make a mark on the future success of GBG, and your record of achievements. Working from our Atlanta headquarters, the role will report to the US Financial Controller within this fast paced and acquisitive organization.

What you will do

This role will execute a variety of accounting procedures: reconciling bank accounts, posting vendor invoices, reconciling and processing monthly expense claims, raising payments, month-end and year-end closing tasks, completing audit requests, and ad hoc reporting requests and tasks assigned by senior team members. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated go-getter and self-starter, eager to thrive in a fast-pace environment and possess analytical and technical capabilities to support the Finance Team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
Accounting qualification (or studying towards) with a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and experience of reconciliation work
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Experience with Microsoft Business Central is advantageous.
First rate interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work to strict deadlines and a mature approach to work is essential
Good computer literacy skills with proficiency in Excel (Vlookups and pivot tables)
The ability to autonomously plan your workload and focus on the right priorities
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Highly organized and detail-oriented
