Position: Data Scientist

Location: Falls Church, VA

Knowesis, a dynamic and forward-thinking company, is currently seeking an exceptional Data Scientist to join our team and provide invaluable support to the Chief Digital AI Office.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a secret clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and maintain dashboards according to user requirements
Collaborate with data engineering and functional resources to build performant applications to support requirements from the procurement, FM and other communities as needed and approved by CDAO leaders
Designs, configures, develops, tests, and supports informatics and data science solutions for a wide array of technical use cases;
Applies analytical methodologies to diagnose data-related challenges, implement solutions, and evaluate performance;
Documents and presents requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and external stakeholders;
Ability to develop strategic, baselined, data modeling processes; ability to accurately determine cause-and-effect relationships; and
Experience with integrated development environments, data integration, data visualization, data mining, and analysis tools.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years experience developing in Python and EQL; experience with Apache Spark highly desired
5+ years experience developing dashboards using either Qlik or Tableau
Minimum 2+ years experience working directly with either contracting or FM data sources
Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations.

Bachelor degree or higher
